What if someone doesn't know any better? Innocent? That still doesn't answer what being a dumbass is

This is my explanation of being a dumbass (being stupid):
Someone who doesn't change, who just sits around waiting for things to happen instead of actually taking charge. Someone who doesn't know when he or she is wrong. Someone who ignores, and doesn't apply. etc.

If you get scammed all you have to do is contact Arenanet support and I'm sure they'll get your account back quickly. Unfortunatly, you can expect all the characters to be gone.

This is why you shouldn't let children play online games.... but then again, when I was 8, we didn't even have the internet. I was already around 11 or 12 when online gaming was coming into fledgling status(remember when they wanted you to pay to play Duke Nuked 3d? 10 bucks a month or so...)

And yes, I know Doom had "online" play...

Lol Kvan, Duke Nukem. Yeah, but what i've seen, nowadays, their are as many under 13 yr old kids playing as there are that are 13 or over. It's the reason a game or FORUMS gets filled with people with less maturity and reason. Anyways this is getting off topic, sorry Sakora.

i hate this 'you are a dumbass' crap.

People are always looking for something for nothing. the scammers are working off of that. you people who say 'u dumba$$': i'm sure that if someone said that they were giving away a few ecto for free you would accept.
the condensed nature of the post does not fully demonstrate the depth of word games employed. i rather suspect that he did not say: 'Hi i'm with ATI i need your e-mail address and password to give you free stuff.'
I imagine he worked slowly. carefully feeling his way to the password. trying to put as much distance between each peice of info you give him so that you don't notice what you are telling him.

It's all about mind games. If you come across a very smart scammer then you will need to be VERY alert to notice it.
I looki forward to the day that one of you 'pwned' type of people get scammed. not through maliciousness but simply so that you can see what is required to notice top end scams.

eh people have been phishing for accounts seince starcraft, this isnt really new; but... females do get suckered in to buy things they dont need...

Haha, once again, 90% of people who fell for a scam deserved it.

A LITTLE common sense and suspicion of things which seem too good to be true goes a LONG way here.

I feel pitty for exactly 1% of people who fall for them, and not at all when it comes to loosing play money during games.
